What participants have said about their experience in an RC Support Group:
“I really appreciated this space so much and learned a lot about the expansive nature that is possible when everything is okay to share about (without feeling like I would be condemned)”
“I feel really grateful for the safe space to deconstruct my adverse religious experiences. There's such a benefit to communal sharing and recovery work, and I really felt that in this group. I can tend to myself, my feelings, and my experiences in a more compassionate way because of this group.”
“The group helped me a lot because it was the first time to share with people who understand what I have been going through and it felt safe for the first time to share. In secular context it often comes with a lot of stigma to share, so I stopped doing it, as it just further inscribes the alienation I feel generally.”
