This training invites clinicians and sacred space holders to expand discernment in how to caste protections over the individuals we hold space for, the healing container, the therapeutic relationship, as well as the practitioner/solidarity worker. The objective of this new training is to offer guidance around inviting clients to participate in co-creation of their course of healing, intentions, and relational dynamic with the therapist as a means to enhance client autonomy and sovereignty.
Participants will deepen their understanding of religious trauma through both clinical frameworks and lived experiences. You’ll learn how to assess and conceptualize religious harm, explore its developmental and diagnostic impacts, and gain practical tools to support clients in healing and reclaiming their identities.
In this 4 part training Kayla Felten, LICSW will guide you through our Spiritual Abuse Recognition and Recovery Workshop.
